About First Response Autism & Founder Jennifer Kaufman

My name is Jennifer Kaufman and I am the founder of First Response Autism and I understand autism from both professionally and personally as an educator, a trainer, and a grandmother.

I have spent 20 years as the principal of specialized schools serving students with autism and special needs. I work with individuals across the autism spectrum, including those who are nonverbal, those who elope, those who cannot follow verbal commands, and those whose behavior can easily be misread as defiance, intoxication, or aggression.

I deliver customized trainings to police departments, sheriff's offices, campus security teams, and first responder agencies both in-person and virtually. My sessions are practical, fast-moving, and built around real field scenarios.
